Pearl Crescent Page Saver Pro is an extension for Mozilla Firefox that lets you capture images of web pages, including Flash content.  Images may be saved in PNG or JPEG format.  Using Page Saver Pro you can capture an entire page, the visible portion of a page, the contents of a frame, or a region you select.  You can control the image capture process via a wide variety of settings, including the image file name, destination (local file, clipboard, or server), and scale (e.g., save at 50% of original size).

The Pro edition of Page Saver has more features than the Basic edition (view a feature comparison).  The additional Pro features include:

  • Select and capture a region on a page (note: you cannot scroll the page during the capture).
  • Save a captured image directly to a server via ftp, http or https.
  • Copy a captured image to the clipboard.
  • Include headers and footers in captured images to record the page URL and other information above and/or below the image.
  • A -saveas command line flag that may be used to specify the destination for a captured image (file, URL, or clipboard).
  • A -saveoptions command line flag that provides more control over the capture process.  Available options include:
    • visible
    • useoriginalurl
    • maxwait=delay
    • refreshmaxwait=delay
    • flashdelay=delay
    • top=pixelval
    • left=pixelval
