These release notes describe recent changes and known issues for Version 1.7.1 of the Pearl Comments Browser Extension which was released on June 2nd, 2008.

Changes Since the 1.7 Release

Added a tooltip that is displayed when the mouse pointer is over a comment marker on a page.
Firefox 3 compatibility:
- Fixed a problem where passwords entered in the Pearl Comments preferences were not stored.
- Fixed a problem where comment marker icons were not shown on the page.
- Improved the appearance of the sidebar.

Known Issues

In Nvu, you will not be prompted for a password; you must enter it in the Pearl Comments preferences.
In SeaMonkey, occasionally the Pearl Comments sidebar will not be available after installation. To fix the problem, reinstall the Pearl Comments browser extension.
